Position
The Development Associate will have the primary responsibility for planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns in North America. The Development Associate will also play an active role in implementing a new Customer Relationship Management system for the organization in North America, Israel, and world-wide. The position will report to the Director of International Partnerships. The Director will work closely with both Israel and New York based professional staff.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute fundraising events in North America, including the OTS Annual Dinner, parlor meetings, and speaking engagements with visiting scholars.
• Work closely with the President and other senior staff in Israel to maximize their time in the US and follow up from their visits
• Accompany President and other OTS Program Directors to events, including annual Shabbat/weekend trips in North America, and then play an active role in the follow up and next steps with prospects after the events.
• Play a critical role in the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management system for Ohr Torah Stone in North America, Israel, and around the world.
• Maintain and enhance the relationship between current North American donors and the institution.
• Identify and research new donors in North America.
• Ensure the timely issuance of gift acknowledgements and tax receipts
• Assist in planning missions and trips to Israel (and elsewhere) for donors and major gift prospects
• Work in close coordination with Ohr Torah Stone development team in Israel
• Maintain and enhance the relationship between North American donors, North American Board members, and the institution

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years of experience in financial resource development and event implementation
• Extensive experience with CRM systems and prospect research tools
• Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication
• Skills to work independently
• Excellent problem-solving, research and analytical skills
• Capacity to rapidly become familiar with the organization’s priorities, programs, and events
• Excellent interpersonal skills and careful attention to detail
• Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new technology and all Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to travel as needed
